Marinfloc always strive to reduce negative effects on the marine environment. The Whitebox CDC (Clean Drain Control) is a product in line with this strive and can achieve two vital things.
First of all, and most important, secure that no polluted water is discharged overboard, and secondly, avoid spending energy and time on cleaning water which already is clean enough (below 15ppm). As an example Marinfloc has in different studies proved that in most cases main engine air cooler drain water contains less than 15 ppm oil. This air cooler drain water is usually mixed with the bilge water which means that as much as 200% more bilge water must be treated. By installing a Whitebox CDC the bilge water processing time will be heavily reduced, the clean water will be sent overboard but the water with a oil content over 15 ppm will be sent to the bilge tank. Whitebox CDC can also be adjusted to 5 ppm limit for companies with a more strict environmental policy.
