Marinfloc treating sewage in Port of Ystad - Read the Trade Magazine Article
Since the beginning of June Marinfloc equipment has been treating black and grey water from passenger vessels arriving the port of Ystad. All Baltic port must arrange black water reception facilities as per Helcom requirements from 1st of June 2021. In port of Ystad the sewage water from all the passenger vessels are collected in an inlet tank. The water is then treated by two Marinfloc Sewage Treatment units. Metals, BOD, COD and Phosphor are remover or reduced to required levels by the Marinfloc equipment.

The Treatment plant that also includes sludge dewatering is operated by Marinfloc and personnel that Marinfloc has engaged.
